One system for orders, production and audit history

One system for orders, production and audit history

Orders, schedules and the production queue lived in disconnected systems with no audit trail. We built one web application that holds all of it, with every change logged.

Introduction

A manufacturer was running orders, schedules and the production queue across fragmented systems. United Hub designed and delivered a centralized web application that brings those workflows into one platform.

The challenge

The systems holding orders, schedules and the production queue had no connection between them. There was no reliable audit trail and no single source of truth, so tracing a change back to who made it, and why, was often impossible. As order volume grew, that lack of visibility made the queue harder to trust and slowed the response when priorities shifted.

Our approach

We designed and delivered a centralized web application that unified the key production workflows. Orders, production, priority management and audit history now live in one system instead of being pieced together across disconnected tools. We built the architecture to absorb new business rules and features as operations evolve, so the platform grows with the business rather than needing to be rebuilt.

Outcomes

Real-time visibility of order status, work center activity and queue state.

Every change logged with user context.

Confidence in the production queue, with no manual cross-referencing.

An architecture built to take on new business rules and features.

An AI agent made thousands of engineering drawings searchable

Thousands of industrial drawing PDFs held information no one could search. We built an AI agent that reads and structures the data, so teams can query the data in natural language at scale.

$800K a year in licensing, replaced by a 30 minute Databricks job

A large manufacturing was paying $800,000 a year to license enterprise data virtualization software for daily quality checks. We rebuilt it natively on Databricks, removing the license cost.
